My feet grip the hot, blazing sand,
Scorching and burning my whole body,
Sweat dripping down my cherry-red face,
Like water trickling down a windowpane,
I feel the pain in my hands and in my heart,
My eyesight started to deteriorate,
I was left to die in the middle of nowhere.

I furiously punched the tangerine sky,
With tears of sorrow rolling down my sunburnt face,
I felt a small raindrop splatter across my face,
My eyes suddenly lit up like fireworks,
I jumped and opened my mouth.
Soothing drops of relief flowed into my mouth,
The rain continued for many days,
With no sign of ending.

But one day it stopped,
Revealing a gorgeous sight at night.
Nothing could have been better than this sunset,
It was like a magnificent angel from heaven,
The sky was  a combination of the desert and the sunset,
I leapt into the sunset creating a home of my own,
Making me feel like it was a place I actually belonged to.
