The swirling storm

The tense feeling of ominous fear instantly bottles up inside of me
But that’s nothing compared to what is coming from the distance that I can see
As the howling wind rips the souls out of the towering trees.
Oh, how I wish it could only be a subtle breeze…
Powerful darkness fills the sky
As the gloomy clouds begin to cry,
Thunder rumbles like a firing fierce dog ready to attack
As the space around me turns entirely pitch black.
But not long until the luminous lightning gives you a great fright
Which then turns the space around me entirely blazing bright.
I sit and watch the tear-size drops of silver glide down the window gently,
So very calm, and contentedly…
Leaves uplift off the trees and right into her raging ravenous mouth
As she finally starts to head south.
Suddenly everything gradually slows down,
Turning back into a completely normal town,
All is starting to find its rhythmic motion
As if it were some sort of hideous potion.
Nature or Nurture?
