Dawn breaks and the kookaburra sings it's waking call,
Just as the honey bees head out to pollinate flowers.
Scarlett red waratahs soak up the golden sunshine
And bright yellow wattles attract the butterflies.
Soon the sun is high in the sky,
A bearded lizard decides to sunbathe on sandstone.
Mobs of kangaroos hop under the arms of an acacia tree
While a red belly black snake slithers out for prey.
The sun set giving the sky a beautiful ombre red.
Cockatoos screech good night
Spreading their pure white wings and taking flight.
Ants say goodbye as they crawl down into the ground.
A spotted quoll stalks around on the floor of the forest.
Fruit bats fly in the royal blue sky above all the trees.
Fluffy, baby brushtail possums stare wide eyed at each other
Not knowing dangerous barn owls swoop right outside the hollow.
Strong beams of moonlight pierce through the canopy
Giving the eucalyptus a glowing effect while swaying in the calm wind.
A choir of crickets sing beautifully
Signally the end of night and the start of the cycle again.
