I looked at you

You looked at my leaves

So I let you take them

Hoping you would notice me 

I looked at you 

You looked at my branches

You looked at my trunk

So I let you take it  

Hoping you would notice me

While I watched you walk away

I looked at what's left of my leaves,

My branches

And my trunk

Just hoping you would notice me.
