The tree stands,

Tall and strong,

Its leaves rustling quietly,

The silence feels so long

Suddenly, a bird of destruction

Flies above, clouding the blue:

A black blanket,

Thick and true

The roaring sound

Fills the air,

Disrupting the tree's

Peace which is rare

As the aeroplane flies away,

And the tree begins to calm down,

The animals return to their home,

Assessing the damage around

Their homes destroyed

Twisted, Turned, Toppled,

The tree still stands,

Tall and strong.
