The Trophy

He stands alone in the dark.
A shiny golden black trophy,
That represents your past.
When my eyes open in the night,
It shines there, oh so bright,
Reminding me of the dazzling moonlight,
On the base a man stands with his bat,
As he stares watching over me, in the silence of the dark night,
The dark plaque of god engraved with detailed dates,
14th August 1970 to 23rd of April 2013,
I had no chance to say my last goodbye.
