The Very Air We Breathe

We are animals, no different to the ones in the wild
But people hurt those animals and us only very mild!
So, I swing on my green one, this is how I feel about my tree
I feel warm, I feel safe, like my Mummy hugging me.
I sit under my green one eating jam and bread
Time to think about endangered species like the Murray Hardyhead
Have you ever pondered, what is the cause?
I will tell you now and it won’t have much applause
Their homes are being wrecked
And we’re failing to fix it
Now is not the time to stay home and quit it!
Oils and chemicals disrupting their peace
and you know what, that is just the least!
Why can’t we treat them like they treat us
They have not done anything to make us have a fuss
Bad things will happen, face it cause it’s the truth
But don’t just stand there and be a mute
Nasty things will be in ponds until we do something
So go save the fish, do your best, just do anything… Except sit and rest!
