The Warmth of a Koala

As I walked through the forest my bare feet sink into the mud
Suddenly I spy koalas hugging trees.
Gray fur, cute little faces, warm-looking, sleepy.
Koalas aren't bears they are marsupials.
Picky in their eating habits
Eucalyptus leaves their only fare.
I wonder how they climb so high,
The branches touch the sky.
