I am dhuwiin (shark) swimming in the gurrwa (ocean)
Hunting for makurr (fish)
In the depths of the blue ocean
Calm as can be.
Ngatha (I am) guuppar (dolphin) surfing through the waves
Passing the dhuwiin playfully, swimming with its pod
When hearing a gaan (whale) calling for its calf
As loud as can be.
Ngatha gaan calling for help
While the calf has been attacked by the dhuwiin
The pod of guppars swim over and fight off the dhuwiin
Hearing the gaan’s call, afraid and injured.
