Looking at the wrinkly creases in the elbow of the grey branch.
You hear sirens and pause then a noise in the background, you identify it is a dog.
Feeling fortunate that Mother Earth is there for you.
Suddenly birds make a rustle in a nearby tree, there is two.
Hear the birds, see the trees in a perfect line.
No signs.
There you stand not ever feeling lonely.
One leaf, two leaves fall slowly.
The long thick arms of the tree swaying in the breeze.
Get a blanket or you're going to freeze.
Sun goes down and moon comes up, you're still there.
You feel connected as though the tree has wrapped you up in a big hug full of care.
The dawn breaks, you wake feeling happy and free.
The roots of the tree surrounding me.
Hard veins so very essential giving life to this glorious silhouette.
CRACK!
CRACK!
SNAP!
Lights out.
