Out of the yard
Where the wild grass grows
Spreading like fire
Not knowing which way it will go.
Past the trees,
High as mountains
Lies the emerald green forest,
Shining like a jewel in the warm summer light.

You could gaze through her trees all day
Over her river you slowly cross, past mountains and trees quite a lot
Past birds singing to their gods
Their voices calm as small ocean waves.

The forest, she sings calmly through the wind
Calling you further in.
You see a deer and her fawn
Closer to them you are drawn,
Their eyes as sweet as sugar
Faces peaceful as a small summer breeze
They leave her forest slowly
She says goodbye to her forest.
