The trees grow strong and tall.

When they're old they sadly fall.

For all the years, months and weeks.

They sit upon the river's edge, drinking from the clean, fresh creeks.

That's the wonder of the outback.

From the stony rough sand,

To the deserted and barren land.

The snakes stalk and slither.

Out in the bush the flowers start to wither.

That’s the wonder of the outback.

After the rain, the rivers run fast.

Flood waters spread quickly and vast.

Wild flowers bloom and start to grow.

The birds are hatching, they chirp and crow.

That’s the wonder of the outback.

All you see surrounding you is dust.

Wind carries it, with a violent gust.

Wild animals fill the ranges.

The outback comes with many dangers.

That's the wonder of the outback.
