The morning is a sea of silence
A blanket of peace
The leaves are rustling-
Whispering, listening, muttering, watching
The clouds become sombre and gloomy
Causing rain to trickle and tumble down onto rooftops
Tapping on the windows, one by one
Slithering down
The sun-
gazing down at the ‘chaos’-
discontent at the elation of the clouds and rain
Peering from behind the smooth and slick ghost gums
Causing the sea of rippling reflections to glimmer
Soon, it darkens
Casting shadows on the creamy orange dirt tracks
The ghostly geese are drifting on the moonlit water
Squawking, breaking the endless silence of this full moon
