Tiger

Tiger, tiger burning bright
prowling through the bush at night.
Glowing valencia, cherry red,
the world of colours swirling inside.
Contrasting against the midnight blue, constellations to the eye.
Never saw, never seen, hiding in plain sight.
The soft roar,
deep growl,
teeth of terror, glistening bright.
Almost none, aimed to zero, homes fall,
never more.
Padding along the dense bush
seeing from the eyes of prey, the darting in
and out... away.
Zoom! Flash!
A blurry figure, pomelo fur trips and tumbles,
sable stripes of ebony black,
it decreases fast...
Stop the poaching!
Stop the saws!
And maybe there could be more...
