Time in Time

With eyes that calm
And hands that sooth
Wrapped around me
Takes all the fear away
Taking turns to guard
My peaceful slumber
With his cousin they trap
All the bad thoughts to replace them
Sweet dreams fill my head
Letting me down to rest
Always there caring
No matter where I am
Waiting for me to come home
Every day they wait
Fur fluffed when I’m back
Eyes gleaming with joy
We share smiles
As the years go by
Their coloured fur fading
Love never dying as the years go by.
