Sunburn kisses my cheeks, the sunburnt skies bleed into the ocean.

The leaves whistle as they sway through the scorching heat,

Trailing my bare feet through the cracked dirt till it runs into the sand.

My worries sink deep to the bottom of the sandbar.

The water embraces my skin, plunging myself below the surface.

The coral glows as the starfish proudly sit surrounded by jewels on the ocean floor.

The water spins around me as the graceful turtles glide along.

The salt clings along my legs as I break through the surface.

Breathing in the atmosphere, I glance around:

The stars shoot across the ocean,

Pulling the darkness of the sky with it.

I lay along the sand bay, collecting grains of sand.

The grains slip through my fingers, collecting memories.

Each one is unique with its own story.

I found myself and I found my peace.
