Perched on the top shelf in a crystal box,
Waiting waiting waiting.
For someone to pick me up and care for me,
I’m still waiting waiting waiting.

Apollo came along one day and a little girl came,
and took me away.
Wrapped in colourful paper
My owner changes once again

I was unwrapped most carefully and she gasped most silently,
her luminescent thoughts were amazingly beautiful to see
I hung proudly while winking at the sparkling chandelier.
Tapping the glass, Ding, Ding, Ding.

Hanging,
Hanging,
Hanging, but then one day
the music stops my owner is not ready, her friend’s dad has gone
Now every time she looks at me she looks at me with sorrow.
