Trees' minds in winter

My falling, colourful, crunchy leaves,
swaying in the warm autumn breeze,
but they're falling down,
down too fast,
as winter starts to seep in,
covering my branches,
oozing through my leaves
as creatures hide,
burrowing beneath dark soil,
everything is turning white,
and now I am lonely every night,
and every night here I'll remain,
until it is spring again.
