Turtle

I tread along the hot summer sand.
Preparing to have a turtle in my hand.
I see their shine in their shell.
As I hear trinkets of bells.
The opal ocean has monsters of waves.
When I see my turtle wave.
I watch it enter its little cave.
That turtle will always be my fave.
On my white shelf in my room.
My little turtle sits there nice and still.
Next to my candles that light when I chill.
My turtle looks over me every day & night.
Its colour is a rich green and a touch of white.
It was a gift from a Balinese lady.
I think her name was Sadie.
Baskets upon baskets full of origami treasures.
She was such a nice lady what a pleasure.
I love my little turtle Tate.
It will always be my best mate
