Twig But Now A Fig

Old and wise, you open your eye's
Green, beans you look like you're mean
Tall and skinny, it's just a beginning
Your wide and you abide, it's just a goodbye
Sad and mad, you had no dad
But, fun in the sun, at least you had a mum
Now old but wise, can't bearly open your eyes
Beans turned brown, no smile but a frown
Feeling down yet drooping around,
The wind in other trees now faster than mine,
Dark and alone, I feel like I'm home
I used to be a twig, but now I'm a fig
Growing in size, but not to my surprise
I will grow tomorrow, yesterday I grew, changing me from someone I once knew
Now I've opened my eyes, to the world's supplies
I am truly strong and where I belong.
