The sun awakens in the inky sky,
The howling wind begins to die,
Fluffy fairy-floss clouds engulf the atmosphere,
The water, crystal clear.
The waves come, transient, rising, crumbling,
Water whispering, all I can hear is mumbling.
Silhouettes of palm trees,
Running along a cold, chilly breeze.
Spread along the horizon,
radiant colour beam in the dim light,
I’m so lucky to be here, at twilight.
Caw! Caw! Caw! Birds call,
Waves grow tall. Crash! They fall.
The sea salt smell in the air, the wind runs through my hair,
Goosebumps arise on my skin,
My mouth widens to a grin, freedom is nice, this is a great win.
