Two Birds
By Amelie S
A strong gust of wind blew through the tall trees
Two fluffy baby birds hatched their eggs
Their massive brown eyes observing the breeze
They took their first steps on their wobbly legs
They explored the place they now called their home
The nest was small, just a couple of sticks
It was shallow, like an upside-down dome
But it was perfect for two little chicks
Greeting her with one happy little chirp
They met their mother for the first time ever
Who brought some worms which they ate in one big slurp
Their mother told them not to fly, never
But the birds didn’t listen and spread out their wings
And flew to the top of two little swings
