Hidden in the pages of my former mistakes and victories
Lessons for tomorrow’s problems from yesterday’s yore,
The what-have, could-do and what-ifs of today’s past,

Scattered among the words in inky splotches,
Messages that I write to not be forgotten,
And all the questions I wished I should have asked

The problems that I have faced,
And the knife that still sticks into by back
Remind me of the past pain that I have endured

Written in the place where I can escape to
An endless mound of Panglossian messages
With words to comfort me in times when I need to be reassured

The tales of tomorrow’s journeys are waiting to be written
For the next test of courage and determination that are unwritten
