Mesmerising mist in the mountains,

grass sleeps under a blanket of snow.

Pine, spruce and juniper trees

are dancing and swaying with the breeze,

the air’s so frigid I start to freeze.

Animals slip and slide across a frozen lake,

snow leopards sneak up on their precious prey,

as stealthy as snakes, they creep then eat.

Deers and elks leap as high as rainbows.

Mountain goats gallop then bleat on the peak.

Snowflakes dance and twirl in the air,

they’re all unique in their own way,

picturesque patterns and dazzling designs,

they float like fluffy feathers falling.

Up in the marvellous majestic mountains,

where there is endless ice and snow,

I’ll miss the picture-perfect peaks,

I never want to leave, I don’t want to go.
