Vogue of a Thousand Memories

Sailing from Liverpool to the end of the world
Even this land makes the strongest, twist and turn and whirl
As we board the ship, I take a look behind
I see the emerald mountains, glistening and shined
Our days are spent in the ship's saloon
Three months of this and we'll start talking baboon
Halfway through our journey, God has sent a sin
Children are piling everywhere with bruises on their chin
One morning I awake to a terrible hacking sound
I roll over and discover my sister on the ground
I feel her forehead and fear for the worst
But she mumbles incoherently and releases her curse
A second event happens, and we are not prepared
Water fills the ship's holes, the mast is ensnared
I rush down to our cabins, and this is what I find:
Two trunks floating on icy blue, inside
The books, papers and pictures are saved
The trunks are soaked, our clothes are wet, yet we are praised
Our angel was hovering over, that I can sense
She told Nell of stories, ones that had no sense
The sun is shining in our face
We are nearly at our place
Dolphins dive around the ship
The water sprays, nourishing my dry lips
But still our journey is not at an end
For we must greet this land and make it our friend
As we step foot, we remember our tragedies
This voyage has given us more than a thousand memories.
