Ting! Ting! As they rattle
Like the end of a snake’s tail.

Yeah, we all know what snake but
What am I actually talking about?

Well, you probably know by the title but
We don't talk about that... Shhhhh!

When they rattle
I hear a little whisper having a tiny chat

But what I hear is,
“I did this for you.”
I reply, “Who is this?”

“Its me bud, your great-great-grandfather.”
“Um ok,” I mumble in disbelief.
Bang! Ting! Ting! as I drop them into the draw.
