Water

The streams of water glisten in the night
The waves always put up a fight
They shimmer reflecting off of beams of light
They overflow and attack
They follow in a pack
There is nowhere near a chance of lack within these waters
The dangerous flood flows
Covered in mud
As cars row
Families hide inside
As the rain confides for shelter
Cries ring out for miles
The homes lie out in piles
Debris submerges through the violent waves
Then suddenly, it begins to cave
Others search for whom they love
As I start to look above
I start to gain hope
We all come together and we all begin to cope.
We stick together.
And we'll do this forever.
