What The True-Blue Sky Sees

What the true-blue sky sees,

magpies soaring through the air,

flapping like a paddle,

koalas cherishing their babies,

frogs croaking with joy,

red back spiders ascending trees,

spinning their webs,

goannas licking the air like a child with an ice block,

platypuses gliding through the water like a speed boat,

crocodiles snapping at fish like a mouse trap,

flying foxes gnawing on fruit like a blender,

lady bugs crawling on leaves like a suction cup,

kangaroos zooming as fast as a race car.

Giant gum trees humming with the wind,

humming like a choir.

This is what the true-blue sky sees,

all the beautiful wild life, all the native animals from big to small.
