A red blur stains the sky

Stretching shadows

Powdering rocks in a rosy blush.

Darkness settles

Creating a dark, star-spangled canvas

And the whole world dreams;

Of bobbing fields of flowers

Of swirling oceans

Of deep blue skies

Of leafy green trees.

The sun rises

Lightly dusting everything in pink magic

Stealing the sky

Lighting up the country

But it’s all gone;

The flowers

The oceans

The sky

The trees

In the blink of an eye; a mere reflection of what there was.
