Deep in the Australian Outback, where wild things still roam, is a rich array of extraordinary life, each of them calling it home. But dark clouds are slowly creeping in and whispers are beginning to take flight as some marvels fade from sight.
The bilby, once abundant, is now a phantom in the deserts of sand, ears perked large, dreams of domesticated land. Burrowing as far as it can deep below to survive, we must strive to keep the spirit of the bilby alive.
On the top of the tree, the Leadbeater’s Possum, a fluffy little star, glides swiftly through the treetops without travelling far. With habitat declining, its future is dirty and thin, let’s rally and seal the deal, let conservation begin.
The coral reef is alive, a world beneath the waves, but with the rising temperature, living on the coral is playing with codes. From clownfish to algae and bubbling corals, all come in vibrant and bright; it’s time we did something positive for our oceans to re-light.
The Western Ground Parrot, a rare songbird, calls from the scrub, a low cry full of care. Only a few exist in the world, time to change will be a race; a race to save its sweet lullaby, song and its space.
So raise your voice high and let it spark, let it light a new way to advocate every day for our endangered, our lost and all life. In schools, and parks, let everyone take flight; because our future will be brighter, and our fight is within sight!
