Wild Thing
By Matilda S D
Chocolate eyes that capture you in its gaze
Deep, red with flaxen strips, Beautiful
Running freely, as I watch with awe, wild
With burst of speed it charges forward
swallowing the ground with its stride, fast
We may never understand each other
But we know each other,
know what we feel, see and hear, we’re one
she reminds me of me
the time i spend by myself
when we’re alone and have all the time in the world to gallop around
trying her hardest, she does for me
never stopping never quitting, never surrendering to life
Running free as young as could be never changing her ways but always her looks
her once deep coat will get grey her chocolate eyes will mist over
but she’ll always have me and i’ll always have her
