Winter

In the still of winter’s night,
The moon casts down a silver light,
Trees stand tall, their branches bare,
Whispers of frost hang in the air.
Snowflakes dance, a quiet grace,
Softly settling, no trace of haste,
The world is hushed, a calm embrace,
Winter’s beauty in every place.
Icicles cling to the eaves,
Glistening jewels, the cold weaves,
Footsteps crunch on frozen ground,
In this silent world, no other sound.
The air is crisp, the night is deep,
Nature’s secrets, the cold does keep,
Yet in the chill, there’s warmth to find,
In winter’s heart, peace fills the mind.
