Winter stars

The shooting star flies across the night
the snow plummets onto my shoulders
as if it was a weight, weighing my arms down
The snow was as white as a daisy, the snow
foxes pounce on cloud-like snow.
I miss winter, I really do, but I wonder
What else could I do?
When summer comes around its my favourite time of the year
Hot chocolates and lattes, twice a year!
Although it's hot, I really can't help it
when it's Christmas
I might as well yell!
But when I go to the beach the sand pushes in between my feet
But when a flush of wind comes by, I always think
“Oh why, oh why, why did winter leave?”
Anything but winter! Oh pretty please.
I miss summer, I really do,
but I wonder if winter would come around soon
I wish I may, and I wish I might just see,
That same shooting star tonight.
