Water splashing, once shining in the light, now dull and grey,

Ocean up above once filled with white fluff, now a sea of coal, filled with dismay,

Stars once sparkling, now unseen,

Earth once full of life, now no longer serene.

Life, once unintelligent, now filled with Pi and quantum theories,

Land, once underdeveloped, now abundant with cities,

Species, once vulnerable, now protected by humans,

Mind, once used only for food and shelter, now advanced by institutions.

Grand brown trunks, once bold, now fallen,

Petals once colourful, now withered and forgotten,

Rain-filled fluffiness in the sky, once pure white now black,

Forest once green and tall, now barren and cracked.

Ecosystems, once left alone, now protected and stable

Animals, once always ready to attack, now much more social,

Laughter, once never heard, now a magical sound,

Earth, once never thought about, now researched all around.

Dangerous phoenix, once only in the sun, now in bushes on land,

Earth, once abundant with resources, now overwhelmed by demand,

Without us, life was unintelligent, not at all soulful,

But without us, life was abundant and peaceful.
