Each root is a memory
Your rich brown showing emotion
Sadness, joy, happiness
Love earth
Love nature
Sway in the wind
Or stay motionless
Show no fear
Each leaf is a beautiful strand of your hair
Your branches, your arms always open for me
Never closed
The delicate flowers that you blossom shine a lovely rose
The petals soft and silky
Flowers you drop come home with me
Another memory
As I sit at your bottom you creak
As if you're telling me you’re growing old
Just like me
It's hard to think I planted you many years ago
