You and I

You and I, we run through a field, a breathtaking stream meanders away from the field
As sun-drenched grass sways together as one with the wind
The cloudless sky and all the sprouting flowers
Rocks as still as sloths.
You and I, we lie down in the grass as it swishes over us,
Clouds are forming, they roam the sky like a lion in search of its prey,
Wild rabbits hop all around the field
While the moon rises and darkness fills the sky.
You and I, we pack our things
I can feel the frosty air, it shimmers around us
You can feel your frozen breath
We inhale, it sounds like glass shattering
We exhale, it taste like ice
We get in the car, drive away,
You and I.
