From seed to tree

An embryonic plant encased within my hands,
unlike any I have seen before,
glimmering golden in dazzling light,
planted in nourishing soil,
the shell releases the beginning of life concealed within,
beams of light hit the young shoot as it bursts out of the moistened earth,
the radiant golden stem began a metamorphosis into a youthful sapling,
leaves that are a vivid, neon emerald green,
I knew there was something peculiar about this tree,
maybe it will teach me in the future – as we grow together.
