She's Always in the Mirror

Dogs barking
Point fingers
Always one of them sits and lingers
Do you know who they are
They are a race like no other
People sit around and gather
Blind they really are!
Best friends? Not by far
Only drugs blah blah blah
In the distance or from afar
if you listen properly
even the tiniest sound
WILL BECOME LOUD
If you close your eyes, you’ll see an image
who is it you see?
I bet it used to be me
All your rumours and conspiracies
Primary School stories
Not such a good role model
Daughters, sons and bullies, NOT FUN
Who have you become
2 years for the thief
Now you realise and you see
IT WAS NEVER ME
It was always you, pointing your finger
and barking in the mirror!
