Stuart Barnes is the author of Glasshouses (UQP), which won the Arts Queensland Thomas Shapcott Poetry Prize, was commended for the Anne Elder Award and shortlisted for the Dame Mary Gilmore Award. His poems have appeared in various publications, including The Australian Anthology of Prose PoetryThe Canberra TimesIslandThe MothOverlandPlumwood MountainPOETRY (Chicago), Poetry Ireland ReviewSoutherlyThe Weekend Australian Review and Westerly, been shortlisted for the Montreal International Poetry Prize, the Newcastle Poetry Prize and the Nillumbik Ekphrasis Poetry Award, and been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. With Quinn Eades he guest-edited Cordite’s TRANSQUEER Issue and with Charmaine Papertalk Green he guest-edited Rabbit’s FORM Issue. From 2013–2017 he was poetry editor of Tincture Journal.
