In 2011 The Red Room Company was invited to take part in a feature on Australian poetry in the offices of the Australia Council building in Sydney. We wanted to do something special, that sets us apart as an organisation that combines poetry wih other art forms. So we asked artist Miriam Chatt to design the installation for us. Miriam instantly thought of combining the visual and graphic elements of poetry with abstracted elements of the sea. Circling gulls, waves of paper, bursts of colour, bold type.
