A Coral Catastrophe

Underneath the crystal-like water
In the shallows,
There is something magnificent:
A blast of colour, magenta, amber and aquamarine,
All kinds of coral.
The sunrise shines upon the horizon,
Almost as if you could touch it.
As the glistening, gold sun rises,
A disastrous problem rises:
Beautiful coral and such destroyed by two words,
CLIMATE CHANGE.
Waves crashing down
Like a big bang
And destroying habitats.
Swoosh,
Beautiful but strong.
Coral dancing yet standing still,
Losing the magic, turning white as snow,
Spreading and destroying;
But we can do more.
