In the ocean where the turtles swim,

and the dolphins surf the waves,

I splash about and scream and shout,

for the joy of summer days.

I could stay in the water forever,

the droplets splashing my sunburnt face

and trickling down my neck.

Under I go, hold my breath and whoa!

shimmering sunrays through the water so beautiful,

in the water, I see fish of all kinds,

striped, spotty, rainbow coloured.

A starfish here, an anemone there,

and seaweed everywhere.

A wave passes over my head and I am pushed forward,

all the fish swimming at my side,

struggling against the current.

Moving to swim further into the deep,

but the current pulls me back,

so I go up for air and wander off to explore the rock pools.
