There are so many things to do in a field of flowers
You could leap and tumble and pretend you’re the main character in a romance novel
no one to judge, no one to know
You could have picnics with your friends
eating food and laughing getting the flowers caught in your hair
You could sing alone in the field of flowers and pretend you’re Maria from the Sound of Music
You can read in the soft damp grass
Flipping through the pages quietly as the warm mellow sun lays across your back
You can come to be alone, away from it all
away from your friends and family
away from the stress and anxiety of school and work
When things get scary or you have finally had enough or you’re upset and angry you go into the field of flowers
you absorb everything or forget everything or you simply lay on your back
You can cry and cry away you can even stomp around until you wear out all your energy so much that you just curl up quietly and start to drift away
A field of flowers is a beautiful sight if you ever get to know one
it holds so many stories full of anger, sadness and laughter
