As the noon sky stretched over the world,

My friend was waiting for me.

In silence it did and I knew it as

A friend named Tree.

Remaining still, he played with me.

With the sky blueberry blue,

We’d enjoy nothing but silence

And how the wind blew.

For centuries it had

Been perched and grown.

But with no other tree,

It was alone.

Life was cruel

With fires and destruction.

Taking away family and friends

Lead it to depression.

So that’s why I’m here.

To care and love this organism.

In my later life,

It will never be our victim…
