Not as heavy as wielding its larger metal counterpart
Previously indispensable
All have stained its sharp point
With the same ink and use

Now a nuisance and novelty

Piercing many damp sheets of paper
Now a nuisance and novelty
Replaced by a soulless object oozing viscous ink from its heart
Piercing many damp sheets of paper
Almost as well as a sword
Imperfect and cumbersome
Although not as impractical as a sword
It has caused many stained fingers
A relic of the past
