Chattering of thrilled people
Fills the air of the crowded streets.
Waves crash onto the shore
Like claps of thunder.

The stench of freshly fished crab
Floods the air.
Coloured flags sway softly in the wind.

A joyful smile peers into the flash-box
That will hold these memories.

The delicious, rich taste of ocean treasures
Melts on the tip of his mouth.
Slightly salted salmon
Lays motionless like a figure cut in stone.

The smooth beholder of memories
Now rests in my hands.
Memories long gone.
