Gazing at the polished night sky

Stars start to dot into place

As they slowly dance and fly

They shine and shimmer in all their glory

Nocturnal creatures emerge from their homes

Bats flap and fly across the black sky

While a sneaky coyote roams

Hunting for pray to feed on for the night

The moon rises from the southeast side

Shining a light for all to see

It illuminates the way to the place I lie

The moonlight reaches out to hold the world in place

A timid deer gallops through the canopy of trees

Light pierces through, conveying a clear path

The deer follows it and finds me

The deer a sitting star of light

Together we gaze at the night sky

Stars dim next to the moonlight

As the moon slowly dances and flies

What a beautiful world we live in
