A reused life

Beautiful is an understatement
Try elegant or sophisticated
My branches are long and protecting
My leaves an array of different colours
I try to keep up my appearance
So that one day I will be put on display
Display for many people to see
Even when my time has passed
They will look at me with glee
As I stand there tall and proud I hear a loud buzzing sound
And before I even know it I have fallen to the ground
My beautiful branches stripped bare
And my body used to make a piece of paper
But as I wish it had ended differently I realise that paper was used for me
Beautiful tints spread all over and my branches
Oh my branches painted so prettily
The people look at me with joy and pride
And I know that even though I’m gone
Someone noticed my previous beauty and remade me for
The pleasure of appreciative eyes.
