A Secret Path

A hidden path settled in the trees

A place to go 

For the calm to flow

The creatures fly, dive and climb

In the canopy of leaves

For a small boy walks down the path

Comes down to read

And settles down with two books on his knee. 

A secret path, a hidden place

Nature’s escape

For some time away.
