A Sparkle of Forever

It sits there upon my chest, ever so elegantly and gracefully
It makes no bold statement of clarity or uniqueness
It just whispers, quietly and softly memories upon memories
The remembrance of this charm is vast and immense
It has travelled with me through all my tough and joyous journeys
A captured moment of a ballerina’s ultimate perfection
With a tinge of amethyst
United by chains of silver
Gentle and subtle chains of silver
Is how I see it and how it remains
Like the moon in the darkest hours of midnight,
It too sparkles with innocence and purity
A small piece of art is how they all see it, but not me, it is so much more
I wear it with such care and love, it is sacred
It has guided me and still continues to
If it could talk through the folds of silver enclosing it
A mammoth of a book would be born through the gentle silver chains
I keep it close and treasure it with all preciousness
Breathing, whispering only life into it, as it has for me
For it only speaks to me alone
